Marketing, marketing, marketing

So yesterday my dad brings in the mail and alongside my copy of the Dramatists magazine is a huge envelope, about 2 inches thick. I open it and inside are 100 mailers for us to send to people we want to invite to the event…

Also inside is a letter from the festival and competition organizer advising us to mail them to our contacts asap, to give them enough time to make appropriate arrangements (hotels/flight. etc) before the big event in July.

Right now, we are gathering names and addresses of people we think would be most interested in producing, distributing and/or optioning “Wingmen” as an ongoing series, and to invite them to the screening. Not an easy task, since we’re essentially new to the biz…

Meanwhile, we are happy to report that of the 40 pilots submitted to the competition, ours was 1 of 12 accepted into the competition! Not bad, considering how little time (2 and 1/2 months) we had getting “Wingmen” made in the first place!

Good News

Word is that “Wingmen” has been officially accepted into the Chicago Comedy TV Pilot Competition will be one of the pilots featured at the 10th Annual Chicago Shorts and Video Film Festival (July 20-21, 2007). Needless to say, our director and cast are quite excited..!

Right now, we’re finalizing some last minute tweaking to make “Wingmen, Episode 1: Bubble Tea and Sympathy” more presentable for the festival. So if you can (and you care to), please spread the word..!
