Music Licensing

Met with our post-post production editors this past Wednesday and viewed the footage we’ve remastered so far. Most sections are done and while we were together we were able to smooth out a few more glitches, so things are looking up.

We’ve also been contacting ASCAP and BMI for info on the publishers of the songs we’d like to include in the remastering. Even though we’re not using the original recordings (we have our actors singing snatches of the songs to karaoke arrangements), as the copyright to these songs are still in effect (meaning they’re not public domain) we still need to clear our requests with the publishers and take care of all licensing fees before we can broadcast any scenes that include these songs.

Also, we’ve been getting things squared away with SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and we’ll be able to include those scenes with our supporting players sooner than we thought. In the meantime, we’ll be posting a few more clips soon — so stay tuned for your next glimpse of our Wingmen!
