Stay Tuned…
November 24, 2008 by me.
We’re hoping to get another clip from our pilot up, exclusively on our site. Hopefully when the market settles down (and that soon) so Rob — our webmaster extraordinare, will have more free time to post it for us.

New Numbers
November 24, 2008 by me.
Update*As of 3/27/2009:
So I just checked in at the sites where we’ve posted our “Wingmen” clips and the numbers now are as follows –
Metacafe.com: Restaurant scene = (as of 3/27/2009) 432 views, avg. rank 3.31
Underwear store scene = (ditto) 787 views, avg. rank 2.82
Karaoke scene = (again) 212 views, avg. rank 2.99
*Channel views = (once more, with feeling) 3,588, avg. rank 3.4
YouTube.com:
Restaurant scene = 76 views
Underwear store scene = 423 views (a big jump!)
Karaoke scene = 153+28+9 views (total 190)
(I haven’t the time to post the new numbers for the following [see below], so hopefully the next time I login, I can)
Blip.tv: Restaurant scene = 15 views
Underwear store scene = 21 views
Karaoke scene = 22 views
Revver.com: Restaurant scene = 17 views
Underwear store scene = 19 views
Karaoke scene = 10 views
Veoh.com: Restaurant scene = 44 views, syndicated via Youtube
Underwear store scene = 4
Karaoke scene = 81 views, syndicated via Youtube
Nelsok.com: Restaurant scene = 47 views
Underwear store scene = 46 views
Karaoke scene = 38 views
Not sure how many (if any) are duplicate views of each other but it’s nice to know that the clips are finding an audience. And not bad, considering we’ve only posted about 30% so far, of our pilot!
Btw, a special thanks to those of you who discovered our show via BetterAsianMan.com and the Alpha Asian blog: your support for our show is highly appreciated!
In the meantime, I’m sad to report that a hoped-for fundraiser we scheduled here in Chicago last month didn’t have the results we’d hoped. Turnout was low and we suspect that worries about the economy had something to do with the state of everyone’s pocketbooks. So an even bigger thanks to all that have helped spread the word about “Wingmen”… and to those who’ve worked with us in helping to finish paying the costs for our pilot, so we can start writing (and planning) for Episodes 2 and 3 and…

Venus Underwear & Handbag Shop*
November 14, 2008 by me.
Some things just can’t be improved on, like a name or a setting. And this includes the Venus Underwear & Handbag Shop which — in the midst of our numerous location scouting endeavors, provided the perfect venue for Hans’ and Julian’s undershirt shopping scene.
Several factors figured into this choice; among them, that the store carried men’s and women’s underwear, and that the brand talked about is one that is already popular in Korea. And that the owner was a friend of the husband-and-wife owners of the bakery featured in yet another “Wingmen” scene.
So once we obtained clearance for shooting our scene at the owner’s location (inside of the Super H-Mart Shopping Center in Niles, Illinois), as thanks for her help the least we felt we could do was to give her store a shout-out (plus a credit) in our pilot..!
*Unfortunately because of gas prices (and the fact that my car was totaled last December), I haven’t been able to drop by in a while. Meanwhile I’ve recently heard that because of the economy some stores in Super H-Mart were closing and for her sake I’m seriously hoping the Venus Underwear & Handbag Shop store isn’t one of them…
